 On August 1, we witnessed the splitting of Bitcoin on two separate networks - the original Bitcoin (ticker - BTC or XBT) and Bitcoin cash (BCC or BCH tickers). Everyone who had a Bitcoin on August 1 at 15: 20h. European time in a personal portfolio to whose private key he or she had access to, there must already be the same amount of Bitcoin Cash. If, however, you kept your Bitcoin on an exchange, it decides for you whether you will get BCC and how much. See what the solutions of the various exchanges and portfolios have been for maintaining the new Bitcoin Cash. Nearly two days after the split, there is a great deal of uncertainty about what will happen in the future with the new Bitcoin, whether it will prevail over the original, or both will exist together as Ethereum and Ethereal Classic. Besides, you're probably wondering how to get to your new Bitcoin, if you do. The good news is that as long as you know your private key on the wallet you kept Bitcoin at the time of splitting, you theoretically have complete control over your possession of Bitcoin Cash. The bad news is that it's not so easy or safe to access your new Bitcoin, to use it. I recommend you not be in a hurry, Bitcoin cash will not escape. Better to lose a small amount if the price of the new crypt is falling down rather than losing all your original Bitcoin. If you still think you want to control your Bitcoin Cash, see the different options: # 1 Full Node Wallet Cash Portfolio Bitcoin ABC is a full node wallet. This is a role that stores the entire transaction history (blockchain or block) ever made with Bitcoin. Once Bitcoin Cash uses the original Bitcoin block until the split, you have to download over 120GB of history before you can use it! This may take a few days. Also, note that if you install Bitcoin ABC on the same computer that holds Bitcoin Core / Knots, you risk ABC deleting all the information from your original wallet and losing your Bitcoin. So make a backup of your Bitcoin Core / Knots private key and install Bitcoin Cash on another computer. # 2 Software wallet Currently, the software portfolios that support Bitcoin Cash are also few. At this point, we know about Electron Cash, which maintains Bitcoin Cash. The problem is, however, that this is an unofficial version of the famous Electrum pallet and is risky to use it because it has not been tested, at least for now. If you still choose this method, we recommend that you follow these steps: It is best to install Electron Cash on a computer where you do not hold wallets and any other important information (especially if you have used Electrum since now, as Bitcoin ABC, Electron Cash can overwrite the new information on the old one). Move your original Bitcoin from the wallet he was in during the split, to another with a different private key. Use the key from the wallet (which is already empty) in Electron Cash. In this way, even if the key is stolen, you will not lose your original Bitcoin, which is already in another wallet with another key. The Coinomi portfolio now supports the new Bitcoin, and Jaxx is currently developing a BCH portfolio and is expected to be ready in the coming days or within 1-2 weeks. So one of these two variants would be pretty good. # 3 Hardware wallet If you already have a hardware wallet such as Trezor and Ledger, you have no problem. Both keep the new Bitcoin, so if you already have one, you should also have access to your BCC. Currently, BCH is temporarily not supported by Trezor due to a bug, but their team is working on solving the problem and there is no room for concern. These two wallets are paid, the first costing 90 euros, the second costing both 70 and 275 euros. If you want to buy them now, delivery to Bulgaria will cost about 30 euros and it will take 2-3 days to arrive. >This is now the safest option, which is relatively fast, but it is the most expensive option. Still, if you hold a substantial amount of Bitcoin, it's worth it. # I have access to my Bitcoin Cash, but I want to sell it. What to do? It is important to note that even if you can get to your Bitcoin Cash, you will probably not be able to sell it on the Exchange. At this point Kraken, Bittrex and BitFfnex do not accept deposits and withdrawals at Bitcoin Cash. For now, we know that ViaBTC can deposit and withdraw BCC, but the Bitcoin Exchange requires 20 confirmations to be able to import or download the new crypt, which may take a few days with the current speed. Be extremely careful in your operations with Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash!
