ANOTHER CRASH and my little update: Just a quick update for those of you who are wondering why the crypto market is crashing again but didnt have time to do research of their own: a) BTC tried for the second time to break through 12k resistance level but yet again there has been too little volume to support that growth. So in current situation, the market naturally has big potential for another drop.! b) "Hackers exploit Binance’s API keys" Binance experienced some unusual activities on their exchange and halted withdrawals. You can read more about it here: https://techcrunch.com/…/bitcoin-price-drops-10-as-hackers…/ c) Securities and Exchange Commission announced that they will require digital asset exchanges to register with the agency, which means that there may be tighter regulations introduced which caused fear and obvious reaction on the cryptomarket. This may be the biggest reason out there for bitcoin (and other altcoins) to crash today. d) Also it's worth to mention about a huge theft: "Hundreds of bitcoin-mining servers has been stolen in Iceland": That would definitely bring more bad PR as well as another reason of those who see the cryptomarket as a threat. e) As if that wasn't enough bad news as it is, yet somehow there's more "Bitcoin’s Tokyo Whale Sold $400 Million and He’s Not Done Yet": https://www.bloomberg.com/…/bitcoin-s-tokyo-whale-sold-400-… https://www.trustnodes.com/…/mt-gox-crashed-bitcoin-trustee… That surely has some negative impact on the market as well. That may be HUGE. It is still hard to tell if the real impact of that event on price of BTC has been significant, but it is clear to me that this news currently does create more panic in the market. f) And finally: Gary Cohn has resigned as White House chief economic advisor. You may be wondering: who is Gary Cohn? Well, he is Trump's top economic advisor and that is big news that will increase uncertainty between investors who already worried. Summary: Currently, there is loads of FUD and panic being spread today. How long will that last? I see the current crash as a great buying opportunity and at the same time as a heavy blow that will bring market down and make it a struggle again. At the same time the fact that institutional money (so called "smart money") are becoming more and more involved is obvious. Many people out there claim that big players will be killing the market for some time because they want to be part of it and are waiting to "jump into train" once this market will be regulated. Which kind of make sense. What do you think?

Great points you make here, @crypto.piotr. I agree. Although, I'm not too sure it's as simple as the big players waiting to jump on-board once this market is regulated. Maybe in some ways, but I think it's far more complex and more along the lines of their wanting more deregulation or, more specifically, to simplify the existing regulation, which is stifling the innovation. That really is where the narrative seems to be going. The ICO debate is really where the focus is now. The problem is so few really understand all the complexities of this new innovation. It all needs time and space, much like the similar regulatory debate that was waged over the internet in it's early days.

I think they were wise to take more time to really study and get a better handle on this new technology. From all I've seen it's my impression that given the fact that so many central banks and nations are now looking to create their own cryptocurrencies, they probably realize they need to be careful going forward so as not to kill the innovations being developed that have such potential to save the old system, which so many economists agree is very limited in how long it lasts before. I'm sure many of them are playing catch-up and don't want to shoot themselves in the foot with more regulations than the system can stand. But who knows though...
