# One of my income streams is the Coti Treasury and it is already starting to flourish after just 6 months.

This may not seem like much right now but this is still in the process of becoming established as a passive income stream. The idea is to build for later on when it might be required. Receiving over 7 tokens every day being compounded over a length of time does start to add up fairly quickly. The current calculations are that just this one stake out of the two active deposits I have will generate close to $28 every month.

Passive income at these prices is really tough going and why these income streams are not for now. Why be spending when you should be growing as the $28 could easily do a 10 x from here being valued at $280 instead.

The bear market is a good test of where you really are in being bale to live off [Crypto](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/cryptocurrency) full time. When the ATH's are happening it gives you a glimpse of what can be but within a month the reality hits home that the stake is way too small to even consider this as a reality.

I am a firm believer those that continue to grow without diluting their stakes will one day achieve the promised land of being able to not only survive on [Crypto](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/cryptocurrency), but have a comfortable living.

Passive incomes are rare unless you have some sort of capital behind you and why they are so sought after and revered. If we can put the amount of work that goes into achieving just one of these think of your [Hive](https://leofinance.io/@crypto-guides/what-is-hive-crypto-hive) account. Mine as been on the go for 54 months and it is still not ready in terms of generating a reliable income. [Hive](https://leofinance.io/@crypto-guides/what-is-hive-crypto-hive) at $5 would do that, but we are back to what I highlighted earlier as that could drop back to 50c which means you would generate 10 x less.

I do think over the next 5 years we will start to see prices bottom out where the ATH's have been previously and that would become a game changer. Then again in 5 years how big will your stake be and what kind of income could it generate even at todays low prices. 

My targets would suggest this passive income stream highlighted in this post would be comfortably over $200 by then. Everything you earn is relative to the time you have dedicated to each projects growth. Whether it is researching constantly, farming or working on the chain like we do on [Hive](https://leofinance.io/@crypto-guides/what-is-hive-crypto-hive). There is always something that can be done and sitting back waiting for it to happen is wasted time. We are ever so early and we can make a difference even if it is just small steps each day.
