Yesterday I spent the morning on the phone seeing if by chance I could drum up some orders so at least i had an income for June. Having most of my customers on 30 day accounts at least it gives me the security of two months of income before the reality sets in.Next month I receive March payments and then there will be a gap until this is over or I can sell something. I am just staying positive and staying healthy which is what matters right now.

The customers I spoke to are open, but realistically they are operating at less than 50 percent and in some cases just ticking over wondering why they are even open. Many of my client are in the service industry with some food related so hotels and restaurants are kind of important. 

This has taught me one thing now and that is to have more of a spread so whatever happens going forward the business doesn't grind to an abrupt halt. The funny thing is new business is probably easier than ever to on board right now as they are sitting twiddling their thumbs in the office begging for the phone to ring. I spoke to three buyers who I have never been able to get through to before and each one was an interesting chat. We are in this boat together and it is easy to get them to open up and start talking.

As a country we are in lock down until the end of this month and I am kind of praying for it to be lifted slowly in the last week. I am not religious by any means but that kind of makes sense to me as any longer and the current economy is screwed and in some cases will see businesses hit the wall.

On the morbid death charts we are sitting in 52nd position with 34 deaths which is minuscule compared to others and the lock down came at the right time. The trick is to open up at the right time now and my hopes may not coincide with the governments thinking, but it makes sense to me. 

As soon as I know dates for the restart it will kick me into gear to do more and more as I see this as an opportunity to grow my business even more. Things will not be the same and opportunities will be there yet again.Now is the time to be super positive and make this count.
