Today I saw VRA trending and I thought I would look into what it offers as I have seen this VRA a number of times and have no clue. Tis is a quick basic dive into VRA and suggest if you are interested to dig a little deeper. There are just way too many crypto's out there to be up to speed on every project. Having seen it so many times being mentioned and not spending any time researching would also be foolish and hence the post today.

VRA is a patented proof of view system for online content like the number of views on videos. The number of views as we know can be gamed by bots and somehow VRA tracks the genuine number of views which is important for advertising revenue payouts. Having VRA calculate genuine human views is what stakeholders involved in this project require for their business. There is a need for this and this is VRA's primary use case. VRA has already been implemented into the likes of YouTube, Vimeo and Twitch plus some others. Considering an estimated 65% of all views are bot related there is serious fraud taking place and VRA solves this. Sounds like a decent tech that is worth investing in, but we need to know far more than just the basics.

**Advertising fraud is apparently worth or will be worth $100 Billion per year.**

Another part of VRA's offering is for Esports and gaming platforms by offering a reliable server infrastructure. A new launch happened on November the 8th last year with a "watch and earn" which ultimately allows users to stream videos whilst playing and earning on the VeraEsports website. Again advertising is being monitored calculating the human views for advertising revenue purposes. This helps to boost crypto and gaming reflecting it's true earning potential.

The most important part understanding the numbers involved and is it worthwhile investing into.

Current Supply of 10.3 billion in circulation

VRA does quarterly burns via buybacks and to get an idea of how much is being burned the last quarter April-June 84,544,180 VRA were burned adding to the  
71,170,554 VRA burned in the first quarter. 1.5% of the circulating supply or $1.1 million of VRA in real dollar value.

VRA offers staking at 15% APR per annum which is decent. The current price of VRA is $0.0044cents each so $100 will get you around 22 700 at current prices. The all time high was $0.08c each so the price like all cryptos is way down. The price is up nearly 5% in the last 24 hours so there is hype amongst the community and personally wouldn't be buying now as it is down 15.6% for the last 30 days.

The VRA bank card went live yesterday and possibly why there is so much noise coming from the community today. This is currently only for UK users apparently and will be a watch this space event as other regions are added. I suspect the US can hold their breath for the time being as don't expect this anytime soon. 

Definitely an interesting project and one I will definitely look into over the coming months as I do see a proper real use case for this technology. Streaming, gaming and videos are only going to grow in size with advertising revenue becoming a highly sought after income for many online.
