In a recent interview with John McAfee, famous for his controversial stance on cryptocurrency, he affirms that bitcoin will skyrocket soon and will become more valuable over time. He criticized the media for failing to stand up against the tyrannical rule of Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) which he described as shadowy and to be acting illegally.

McAfee continues to defend his thesis that the bull market is just around the corner. He pointed out the bitcoin market has risen 42% since June 25. He does not believe the correction from the $20,000 USD market was necessary and defense that was only the result of people not understanding the market very well. He also denied the possibility of another two-year decline before the incline starts up again. The six-month decline was against all odds, but the market will soon recover. He is not nervous about the price of bitcoin, which is 57% below the schedule to reach $1 million by the end of 2020.

McAfee is so full confidence in his prediction that he made a bet to eat his own penis on live TV if the bitcoin does not meet the deadline. He believes that, Pure Mathematics state that if the price if bitcoin skyrockets, then people will continue to use bitcoin and that thus lead it to further gains

McAfee also argues that despite the problems of bitcoin, like bad scaling, and slow payments, it is clear that bitcoin has been accepted. He stated that paper and gold do not hold a lot of value other than the fact that people assume that they do, He affirms that bitcoin will be the new gold standard. When people see that bitcoin is digital gold, he believes that the price will rise a lot, and people will choose bitcoin because they know it and are familiar with it

John always references bitcoin almost exclusively in these interviews because it's so prominent and well-known. McAfee also said that he wants the shadowy and illegal SEC out-of-the-way. He believes that the SEC, needs to be removed for the coin to continue to grow and argues that the SEC is not acting legally stating that ICOs are securities and that this contradicts a ruling of the Supreme Court in the 1950s that defines securities. McAfee also affirmed that J. Clayton the SEC chairman is very scared of debating him again on air following a debate with the FBI in 2016

McAfee also criticized social media companies for catering to the government and acting like spies for the government. According to him Google and Facebook give information for the CIA and the FBI too often. However, he challenges their positions by considering ICOs and tokens to be securities.  John has also challenged the CEO of J.P. Morgan, Jamie Dimon to a debate with him.  McAfee argues that Dimon has this stance because bitcoin threatens the global banking infrastructure. McAfee affirms that Jamie Devens says radical things because he does not understand crypto currency very well and has a vested interest in killing it. At the end of the interview McAfee's stated bitcoin is like a Pandora's box as soon as you open it you can never close it
