<h3>I've been watching a lot of videos about the Fermi paradox on YouTube this past month and it's really captured my imagination. I'm sure most of you know about the Fermi Paradox but if you don't it was a question asked by the Italian physicist Enrico Fermi in response to the Drake Equation. The drake equation is a formula used to estimate the probability of other civilizations in our galaxy.&nbsp;</h3>
<h3>Even the most conservative input variables estimates the number of civilizations in The Milky Way from 1000 to 100,000. The Fermi Paradox asks the question, 'so where are all the aliens? Why have we not detected extra-terrestrial life? &nbsp;&nbsp;</h3>

They make some of the best content on YouTube, focusing on slick animations and the narrator has a great voice. The videos are only 8-10 minutes in length but are packed with information. <h1>Fermi Paradox Solutions by Isaac Arthur</h1>

<h3>I've spent many hours watching videos on this amazing channel. This YouTuber, Issac Arthur, &nbsp;has a small but growing channel that deserves much more exposure. This particular video discusses some possible solutions to the Fermi Paradox in much more depth than any other channel I've come across. His videos are a bit on the long side averaging about about an hour but the content here is very interesting. Mr. Arthur has a minor speech impediment, and he recommends turning on the CC because of the heavy scientific jargon but I find his voice rather clear.</h3>

<h1>Nick Bostrom - The Simulation Argument</h1>

<h3>Finally, The Simulation Argument or Theory is an argument put forth by Nick Bostrom to show that one of three propositions is correct: 1) All civilizations similar to us go extinct before reaching their full technological potential. 2) Civilizations advanced enough to run what Bostrom calls an 'Ancestor simulator' at some point lose interest in them and finally 3)We are living in a simulation.</h3>
<h3>This argument relates to the Fermi Paradox in that it is a possible solution to why the universe is so empty of life. And it's kind of depressing. Issac Arthur goes in depth about <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXIpR_agyl4">The Simulation Hypothesis</a>, and here's a video of Elon Musk, of Tesla, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KK_kzrJPS8">talking about it.&nbsp;</a>Elon advises not to talk about it in a hot tub.</h3>

Given the density of stars and galaxies it seems a little immature to assume any ET just stopping off here  because we are so special.
