House Shopping-It's Like Playing the Game, "I would rather..."

**First Family Home**

Wife and I moved into our cozy little home back in 2008-2009. We bought it cheap, gutted it out and redid the inside of it. At the time, our son was 3-4 years old and we had one little dog. It was perfect. Plenty of room, nice size backyard, attached 2.5 car garage and because we tore the inside down to the studs, it was all built up with that "new car smell" on the inside. We couldn't be happier!

Fast forward to present day and we need to sell our little home and move on! We now have 2 dogs, 2 kids and...**SURPRISE!!* more "stuff". I use the word "stuff" because let's face it, when you live in a home and go through a family growth spurt, you find out that you have WAY more "stuff" then you actually thought previously.

I will indeed miss the house. Yes we have definitely outgrown it but between the memories and just knowing it was our first "family home" makes it a little sad. Please don't get me wrong; I definitely want a bigger home and need the space for us to stretch out, move around and not be on top of one another. The "we have no room" stigma is real people and it can be frustrating. But I guess being on top of one another and learning how to navigate confined spaces will be what I miss the most. I could hear and see my family no matter what woom I was in it seemed. Now, if we go to bigger pastures, I'll have to walk down a hall or go screaming to get someone's attention. To some that might be a blessing but to me an option I'll miss.

All in all, like I said, I will miss the little house but our family has grown, and of course, kids...they will DEFINITELY continue growing. I want everyone to have their own space and be able to chill and have "me" time if they choose. To everyone out there who has gone through this "fun" even previously of house selling, house buying and house moving, God love you and to those (like me) who are giong through it now and in the future, God be with you but ultimately, if you have your family, that's all that really matters!
