Well that was the reason I invested $1,000 into steem power yesterday, I was frustrated that even with the starting delegated steem power, you can’t even generate $0.01 from a full power upvote. So new joiners can’t benefit from curation rewards or support their followers. I appreciate it takes time to build up but i worry that a lot of new users get put off early.

Investing a little sure goes a long way here on Steemit, and the starting power is designed in such a way as not to be abused.

Agree we don’t need more ways for steem to be manipulated. It’s all a balance, but we could have more verification to get an account and then slightly more intial delegated steem power. Anyway it’s all chat because I’m not a dev, but food for thought!

I think Steemit has a lot of calibrating to do as we go forward, which is the reason why they are keeping Steemit in Beta for so long.
