# How to Withdraw STEEM POWER

Withdrawing **STEEM POWER** from your steemit.com account requires you to initiate a process so called **Power Down** that starts converting your **STEEM POWER** to **STEEM** tokens that you can transfer to other users or withdraw and sell.
