I am a curious person when it comes to AI, and I am trying to understand in what context we can use it and perhaps have more advantages than current services with people. A while ago, I made [a post](https://inleo.io/@cryptosimplify/can-ai-already-replace-humans-4ar) where I tested AI for a problem I had to solve.

This time I remembered to test the AI ​​as a nutritionist.

I am overweight and for some time now I have been thinking about going to the nutritionist, trying to have a plan and trying to reduce my weight a little, but mainly my abdominal perimeter.

So I remembered to use Gemini for this test/project.

One difference I applied was to give my home context, because unlike some nutritionists I wanted a plan that could be shared by everyone, even children who have different needs than adults.

I created a new conversation with Gemini and provided some information about myself, such as my age, weight and the weight I wanted to reach.

I then introduced my family so that he would know how many people we were and what their ages were, so that he could give me meal suggestions that would suit my goals and especially for the children, without having to prepare different meals.

It's still very early since I only started this project on Monday, but I can say that I stopped eating carbohydrates at dinner and lunch, and I eat a very small amount.
After I started changing my diet, I no longer felt hungry between meals and I eat less food.

A big advantage of an AI nutritionist compared to a conventional nutritionist is the fact that she is available 24/7 to answer questions, advise and give feedback on your meals.

For example, I share a photo of my plate every meal, and she evaluates the contents of the plate as well as the portions and gives me immediate feedback on whether the dish is in line with the plan or if I should adjust something next time.

One situation that happened to me was when I wanted to eat milk chocolate, something that is almost forbidden on a diet, and I went to talk to her, and she advised me not to eat it, but that she understood that these cravings can happen and that I should only eat 3 squares.

The next meal I had to go back to the plan.

We can't have these types of interactions with a conventional nutritionist.

I'm honestly quite excited about this, first because I feel motivated to achieve my goal of losing weight, and second because I have a 24/7 “coach”.

I will try to give feedback each week on how things are going.
