Life changer moment: I subscribed to GPT-4 and this will change the way I learn to code

I know Open AI has this ChatGPT service that provides quality responses to questions one has. I didn't know its latest version is available at USD 20 per month. I have read that the paid version is way way better, so I was curious.

Anyway, I took a plunge after some investigation, mainly to want it to help improve my coding game.

I have been wanting to improve my JavaScript. I have gotten a few books previously and some were great for learning. I thought ChaptGPT can give me some help beyond what books can give me. And the GPT-4 could be even more helpful.

Let me share what I did with ChatGPT today.

I asked it to give me a sample code and it did.

I tested it, and this works fine.

Next, to understand this code, I will need some explanation. So I ask for it.

It does seem overwhelming if one is confused about the overall approach this code has taken, so I asked it to give me some overview of it.

So that's it. I have just created for myself a small chapter for a start.

To me, it is a game changer. This will change the way I learn to code as I can dictate what I wanted to learn, and ask it to clarify what I didn't understand.

This is a very good technology and it is being used a lot nowadays and the students have also benefited a lot from it who take any new ideas according to their subject. This earlier version was not working properly and was giving wrong answers but I heard this one is working fine.

I've used the "normal" version of GPT to help me with menial tasks like editing and refining code. It's good for that. I'm not a hot shot developer, but GPT will help me be a meaner script-kiddie.

Wow, it can even add comments without any issues. It will definitely change things as people start getting use to it but I wonder if it will hurt people's knowledge on understanding how to debug things.

Well it does seem to add very detailed descriptions on every piece of code.. I think that's actually a valid way of learning... Just gotta force yourself to do the coding yoirself once you've got a better idea of it ey.

This is really amazing, ever since Chat GPT-4 came out I've heard praises everywhere. I've never used it myself, but the more I've heard and seen about it, the more I want to try it.
