Most of us here will be familiar with the idea of bitcoin mining. Activities to validate the blockchain transactions, be it PoS or PoW, they can be considered as crypto mining. 

But have you considered that the world is possibly seeing this humongous blockchain industry as a massive world wide mining opportunity? The objective? To extract value from it of course.

Throwback to the super old days when some precious mineral was first discovered from beneath the earth.

It doesn't matter what it was. It could be gold or something else. They developed the technology to make what they dug useful and of value to the world. Then a whole slew of industry follow suit, such as mining of different minerals, excavation tool and services, furnace, market place and exchanges, and then ETF... You get the drift. Many people got jobs and economic activities surrounded this technology of mining minerals from the earth.

Are we seeing something like this in the blockchain revolution? Well, the equivalent is that a new technology was mooted when Satoshi Nakamoto showed us bitcoin. Then the world jumped in. More alternative blockchain networks, exchange services, sales of graphic cards for mining, crypto YouTubers, and of course opportunities to invest in cryptocurrencies, such as the bitcoin ETF.

If we compare the traditional mineral mining with the advent of blockchain technology, it is easy to see some similarities. First, many things to mine. Gold, silver etc in the mineral mining, and bitcoin, ethereum, hive etc in the blockchain world. These are cases of mining the assets directly.

The second similarity is worth more attention. It is the fact that the entire industry can be seen as a new found mining site to be exploited by the world looking for new and worthy economic activities to sustain the world's need. When the rest of the world comes in to build services surrounding activities of the first line miners, the real *mining* happens. **We are all here to mine whatever we can from the technology revolution itself!**

That is why I think it is important to consider what the blockchain technology can bring to the world. We don't necessary get our hands dirty digging gold, but we can benefit from the convenience and opportunities gold or other activities surrounding it brings.  Likewise, we can partake in the business activities arising from the blockchain revolution. 

Of course, one such opportunity is INLEO is trying to create economic flywheel by getting people to post evergreen contents while generating ads revenue organically to benefit the various parties. The fact that we are partaking in it by writing posts is the new crypto mining activity indirectly aside from the dPoS activity.
