If you do follow articles here on Steem you should have noticed how [Palnet](https://www.palnet.io) is making waves on the platform. To put it simply, Palnet is a new interface for you to create and curate content on Steem. This is similar to Steempeak or Busy.org. However, on [Palnet.io](https://www.palnet.io), you will only get to see posts that are using the #palnet tag. Articles without the tag won't be shown. In addition, Palnet is the first Steem interface to issue its own token called the PALcoin.

According to the [whitepaper post](https://www.palnet.io/minnowsupport/@minnowsupport/palcoin-launch-a-revised-whitepaper-and-token-launch-by-the-minnow-support-project),
>Initial Distribution of PALcoin
There will be 21M tokens initially minted and launched
10% @ Minnowsupport
10% existing moderators/team members
Up to 20% will go out in an claimdrop to a white list of 16000 people
the remaining 60% will be sold on the market for Steem and used to powerup the @minnowsupport account and pay for expenses

So you might want to check if you are among those whitelisted to get some free PALcoin airdrop. You only have about 3 weeks left to do so I think. I am lucky to get 688 PALcoins and as of now, 1 PAL is about $0.127 which is not bad for an airdrop :)

The Palnet interface looks exactly like Steemit, so I think many of you should not find it difficult to use. Posting through Palnet.io seems to be the best way for you to get some PAL upvotes. However, I still prefer the [Steempeak interface](https://steempeak.com/@culgin) more. Perhaps what I can do moving forward is to use the #palnet tag while posting from Steempeak. Another question I have is whether I can still get STEEM votes when people upvote my article here on Palnet.io. If you know the answer please comment and let me know. Otherwise, I think I will use this post to find out :)

Separately, in a totally unrelated news, Bitcoin broke above $9.3k briefly today! The last time Bitcoin was at this price was more than 1 year ago,
