My company got a new project today and I'm the only one assigned to it because it's only a simple renovation work. As we approach the Chinese New Year, some businesses are expanding and opening new branches in other locations. Hence, companies like ours thrive during this season. Eager to have the initial drawings and costs within a week for their review. It's a tight schedule even for a small project because I'm also working on another project too. When I asked them their expectation regarding the start of the renovation, they answered me with "ASAP", as soon as possible; it only meant super urgent. Right after the meeting, they sent me the reference photos of the furniture and they are already asking for some technical advice regarding the issues that we discussed earlier. Although they are imposing some pressure on me, I think they are the kind of clients that want things done. They are also the types of clients that can be kind almost immediately and don't want to waste time meandering in several options. They are my kind of clients because I'm also the type of person who wants to get things done as fast as possible so that I can move on to another task within the project. It's important to stay efficient in this line of job because time has cost too. Wasting it would only mean a loss for the company because there are workers who are getting paid by the hour. In every minute that directions are not getting into the workers and production would only mean that we are burning a portion of our profits away. In the next 4 weeks, I will be trying to churn as hard as I can to keep things rolling. Wish me luck! ***
