Some Hive thoughts on a Thursday night
It was brought to my attention that the use of liquid rewards is considered by some to be a way of abusing the reward pool. This, I was told, is the reason why my posts that utilized liquid rewards were downvoted. Given this, I feel I have no choice but to comply... otherwise, my posts will continue to be targeted and downvoted.

My decision to comply is my way of contributing to the platform’s growth and helping it reach its full potential. I sincerely hope this effort will contribute to improving the price of Hive, which has been declining for years and has yet to show significant recovery.

Since we are all part of this ecosystem, we might as well do our part to help it grow... both in terms of user base and market value. Many have stopped posting for various reasons, but that doesn’t mean we should too. We must continue contributing to prevent this platform from turning into an echo chamber.

People may come and go, but it's the dedicated developers and users who keep this platform alive, regardless of market conditions. There's real value in adding content here. Of course, I hope that someone out there is reading what I write. While it may take time for more eyes to focus on Hive content, I’d like to believe that the platform has a promising future.

Am I optimistic? Perhaps overly so, but I’d rather remain hopeful than dwell in negativity. This platform stands a better chance of succeeding if more people choose to focus on the positives instead of being weighed down by the negatives.

It’s natural for people to feel discouraged when downvoted, that’s a common emotional response to disagreement. I don’t blame anyone for taking downvotes personally; after all, the act itself carries a negative connotation.

Disagreeing respectfully isn’t always easy, especially if the person being downvoted isn’t open-minded enough to consider a shift in perspective. It’s difficult to come to a definitive stance on this topic, which likely explains why it often leads to endless debates—until someone eventually gives up and powers down their account.

So, my advice to anyone who may face downvotes in the future is this: try to understand what the downvoter wants and consider complying. 😁 More often than not, those who downvote are genuinely trying to improve the platform and want to see Hive succeed.

It's unfortunate that Hive has lagged behind more established chains and coins, but maybe it’s just taking its time... building slowly and steadily rather than rushing.

The second bit, will be to lower your KE ratio. You can easily accomplish that by powering up some hive, and/or not selling every single hive that you get. Consider contributing for this ecosystem for the long term.

That's one of the things I don't like about Hive. Don't get me wrong, I basically like a lot of things about Hive and I really enjoy being here. But theoretically, the downvote of a large account is enough to cancel out many smaller upvotes. And you don't need a reason for a downvote. Of course, this rarely happens and there is usually a reason. But just because someone disagrees with you and therefore hands out a big downvote, I find that a bit difficult. But I also don't know how you could “improve” it.

I think the downvotes thing is something that is used wrongly by some users, and the communities that tries to "make Hive better" sometimes abuse of this element and sometime they doesn't even say why they are downvoting. When this happens the only thing that could happen is that user to leave Hive.

Also, why would be getting liquid rewards something bad? I mean, Hive is a platform to earn some crypto writing and curating content. I think everyone should be free to do whatever they want with the money they earn here, right?

isn't that what I am doing? :)

And not hive is not _just_ a platform to earn some crypto. This is a social network that pays you for your content from a common reward pool that is fixed. If everyone thinks like you, then you won't have any rewards. Why?

Because, since I know a lot of people here with a lot of voting power. I can write 20 posts a day and random junk, and ask my friends to vote me. I can vote myself if I want. Then I will suck up all the rewards for myself, and then there won't be anything left for you.

Do you like for me to do that? Would that be good for the ecosystem?
