Greetings Felines and Hoomans of the Hive! Hope you have all had a great Holiday weekend!

Seems I missed making a Caturday post this weekend, but I am planning to be back on a more regular basis now.

Things have been a bit *"lazy"* around here, and I have rather slacked off on my intended posting routine... but I shall endeavor to start anew!

*Come on folks, let's get with the program!*

## *All That Finger Pointing!*

As a cat, I have no fingers of course... but it rather amazes me how many of you Hoomans engage in endless standing around and *"pointing fingers"* at those who you feel are wrong.

I think perhaps where I find myself scratching my head the *most* are with those who engage in eternal finger pointing, yet they never have a single word to say about *what THEY are doing RIGHT!*

It's *all* about what *"others"* are doing wrong, 24/7. 

Don't you ever get *tired* of all that fault finding? Moreover, what *good* does it do to browbeat people endlessly for something that *has already happened?* I mean, unless there's actual *criminal activity* involve.

I'd hate to think people just engage in the activity of *making others feel WORSE about themselves* purely as a tactic to feel *"better"* about their *own* small and miserable lives!

## *There's an Old Hooman Saying:*

The Mom-Hooman around this house — who also happens to be a minister and a highly qualified counselor — likes to use the saying that ***"Blowing out someone ELSE's candle doesn't make your OWN candle burn any brighter!"***

I may just be a simple cat, but there's a lot of truth in that saying. 

So much strife and unpleasantness seems to happen because people are more concerned with *placing blame* than with *finding solutions.*

Politicians do it. Religionists do it. Scientists do it. Media commentators do it. People on both Hive and Steem do it. 

So much energy goes into *blaming,* and so little energy goes into *creating workable solutions.*

How can we *possibly* hope to build better *communities;* a better *world,* when so much emphasis is placed on *tearing down?*

## *Back to Community Building!*

Mostly just laying some groundwork with this post, as I start to get back in the swing of exploring the ins and outs of *Community Building,* through a series of posts that draws on my Hooman's 20+ year experience doing just that!

Of course, there WILL be cat pictures, as well!

Last but certainly not least, don't forget the **[dPet Community](https://peakd.com/c/hive-181573/created)** created by **@kona,** which is the *original* pet related *"channel,"* and which typically also has lots of cat photos! This is also the home of the **Daily Pet Photography** challenge!

There *are* a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have *not* had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
