Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia! Hope this week has been treating you well, so far! 

Someone asked me whether I only post cat pictures on *Caturday,* but I think it is *always* a *"good time"* for cat photos!

Besides, the Hoomans around here are very good at making us cats feel like *every day* is like Caturday.

## *Reaching Goals Requires Dedication!*

In my opinion, one of the important ingredients in creating and building a successful blog is to *show up* as often as possible... you can expect your audience to *"build itself!"*

Here on Hive, we have a very direct *"metric"* for measuring our progress, in the form of how much Hive Power we have accumulated.

If you expect to build something, you *have to* be quite persistent!

## *HiveFest is Upon Us!*

I know many people from the community are taking part in HiveFest at the moment, and I think it is a really cool thing... and it always makes me feel *hopeful* when I read about all the excitement and revelations of new things to come.

Of course, it's no place for a *cat* to be, but that doesn't mean that I can't participate by proxy, from the sidelines!

It feels like HiveFest gives the entire community an injection of enthusiasm!

## *Quiet House — Again!*

The Mom-Hooman has once again taken a trip to nearby Seattle. You see, the Daughter-Hooman is getting married in November, and there are lots of wedding preparations to be handled.

Seems like an awful lot of fuss to me, but these *"weddings"* are clearly very important to some Hoomans... and I'm OK with that.

When the wedding finally rolls around, I will be spending a few days with the cat sitter here... not my favorite thing, but a cat's gotta do what a cat's gotta do!

Anyway, it is quiet around Ye Olde Homestead this weekend... which I don't mind *too* much, as the Dad-Hooman is here, and he's always generous with the cat treats!

Hopefully he'll also have time to help me with some posts for my blog... even though it is becoming less and less likely, I am *still* hoping to reach my goal of 3,500 Hive Power by the end of the year!

**[Cat Photos](https://peakd.com/c/hive-156144/created)** by **@andrarchy** is a *"mixed use"* cat content community; posts can be just photos *or* longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of *subscribers* but is not very active.

**[Cats](https://peakd.com/c/hive-133343/created)** by **@captainklaus** (and Sissi!) is another *"general"* cat content community; it's *there,* but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the **[Hive Pets Community](https://peakd.com/c/hive-196708/created)** which has become quite active and typically has quite a bit of cat content!

There *are* a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have *not* had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
