The Atabapo River is located between Venezuela and Colombia and is born in the jungles of southern Venezuela, in the Maroa municipality of Amazonas state. Its waters are blackish and in the late afternoon you can see spectacular multicolored sunsets and make a beautiful contrast with the jungle and the different boats of the residents of the area mostly indigenous.**  Your entries need to be submitted by 8 A.M. Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Best 10 entries will receive a 10% upvote and other valid entries will get a 5% upvote from me. Out of those best 10 entries, one winner and one runner-up will be picked. On my South American journey I visited spectacular places Iguazu Falls, Torres del Pine and many others, but most impressive was still Atacama desert. The view from the top of Isla del Sol is perfect everywhere we look. I knew It is the biggest island on Lake Titicaca but I did not know that its original name was Isla Titicaca, and it is it who gave her name to the big lake.
