YouTube ads mine Monero while you watch Using JavaScript . Time to join DTube
Hello all, 

Is YouTube using your GPU power to mine for Monero?   The answer seems to be yes !  Well, at least the ads are. YouTube is displaying ads that use unsuspecting  visitor CPUs to generate digital currency more specifically Monero.  According to this ARS Technica article. The questionable ads contain hidden code for Monero browser mining. The code uses an exploit in googles DoubleClick add platform to get past YouTube security. Nine out of 10 of the ads were reported to be using coinhive mining script.  Coinhive  is a controversial company that allows its paying users to use the computers of unsuspecting people while they are online.  YouTube is working to keep these ads from being rerun. But I think this is just another reason everyone should join DTube!
