The aether does not exist outside of what has already been discovered as far as I am concerned, it may and I could be wrong, but for now this is my position.  The aether was meant to be a medium for the wavelike properties of the electromagnetic spectrum, because everyone knew a wave needs a medium. The Michelson-Morley experiement resulted in a null finding, which means neither here nor there, not proven and neither disproven. Maxwell had derived equations for a self-propagating em, in other words a wave that produces its own medium with every pulse, or, the aether is the matrix that is atomic structure, but it isn't something that has no baryonic signature like Einstein's space-time fabric. And when we think of waves we should think of them in three-dimensions not two like what one sees on an oscillascope. I agree the removal of money from the equation would destabilize the power of the elites, but most people are not ready for that.

There is much more involved than just sharing awareness. 

Remember the Matrix movies, how in the end some people wanted to remain asleep and in the matrix and they remained as the power source of the machines.  There are a lot of people who believe in this system, then there are those who believe only in capitalism or some screwy modern version of capitalism that ignores its history or exploitation.  Too many ideologies(belief) are also a problem as they divide humanity.  A divided humanity means a divided hive consciousness.

The way I see it the whole thing requires the backhand of god to knock us about and destroy the informational power base of the elites. I  imagined it as a series of powerful X class solar flare that knock out the entire electric grid, does some population control, decentralizes power and hopefull the survivors learn to do things a little differently to the betterment of all.  Unfortunately, we are in a Grand Solar Minimum and heading towards an ice age and the threats we face are vastly different. Food shortages, violent uprising, increased pandemics, etc. In fact, I believe the whole man-made global warming bs was a false flag to have us not paying attention to what is really happening because the number one goal of the oligarchs is depopulation and the potential of that happening during an ice age are scarily real.
