***I was going through TikTok reels the other day when I stumbled on this funny content. The creator boarded a bus, having his wired earpiece plugged into his phone. He was clearly enjoying his music and at the same time, feeling totally immersed. Then they got to this road bump. The driver didn’t even bother slowing down and it caused the bus to jerk violently. The passengers were all shaken. Some even had their belongings tumble to the floor. The content creator wasn’t spared either; his phone flew out of his hands. But something hilarious happened in that moment: his wired earpiece suspended the phone in mid-air, preventing it from hitting the ground. He gave this cheeky smile and added, “Your earpods can't relate!”***

***Honestly, I couldn't help but smile. It brought a full wave of this nostalgic feeling. I remembered getting my first wired earpiece and how much I cherished it. I would legit sleep with it, travel with it, and never let it out of my sight. It felt like a prized possession. But now? I can’t even recall the last time I used one.***

***Call it growth, maturity or maybe evolving with the times, but now I find more comfort in using gadgets that don’t even stress me out with tangled wires or the need to actually organize cables before use. My wireless EarPods have changed the way I listen to music or sounds. I find joy in watching people try to figure out who I’m speaking with when my phone is not anywhere near my ear.***

***Going to work feels so different too when I move with a soundtrack. My earpods usher in worship songs as I reflect, pray, or just try to enjoy the moment with my Creator. It’s a deeply personal sacred experience. 
And then, when I want something more immersive, like watching a movie, I pull out my Bluetooth speaker. It's not the loudest there is. But the clarity, the crisp sounds of action scenes or background sounds? Yes, that’s the goal man! It just gives me this cinematic feel that my EarPods or basic phone speakers can't deliver.***

Frankly, It may not shake the walls, but it fills the room just fine for me. When I’m alone, or even with friends and family, I make sure to bring them into the mood while enjoying my music or movie the way I like it; comfortably and without disturbing others.***

***So really, how do I listen? I listen with intention, with joy, not forgetting the nostalgia of the past but also making sure to embrace the realities of the present. Whether it’s a quiet worship moment, a loud celebration, or just background noise while working; I listen in ways that make me feel alive.***
