Growing up as an only child is a life that millions of people wished for - I wish I didn't have to share my clothes with anyone, I wish it was only me eating food in this house, I wish I had all the toys to myself. I didn't need to make any of those wishes because all I asked the Universe for was a Sibling. Don't get me wrong, my cousins From Primary School (Elementary School) to Second School (High School), but none came forth. I asked my Parents Questions with the little knowledge I had but all I got was *it is well*. 


**until the Eve of 2017 Christmas.**

*"David, come and meet Jonathan"* 
*"He will be staying for the Holiday"* 
The smile on my face, you would think that I was Taka (The Brother of Mufasa in Lion King). I showed him my room and told him he will stay there even though he was supposed to stay in the visitor's room. I immediately gave him an abridged tour round the 3 bedroom..
"David!! Come out of my room now!" Mummy shouted. Like a dream come true, from one holiday, to going to school everyday from the house, to working after school from the house. He had found a new home and I was the happiest Boy on Earth.  


**Two years after it started.**

He came back from work frustrated and lamenting while sitting on the bed. So I left the money mummy had instructed me to deposit in the bank and sat down beside him
*"What's up Bro?"*
*"Omo is it not that rubbish manager! Nobody can please her! Na God go punish am I swear. She just loves frustrating someone!"* 
*"Bro, you know it is only for now. The best is yet to come and this is just temporary. Do the Calms. Everywhere go soft las las."*
*"Omo bro thank you jare"*
*"Oya at Least eat food, so you will feel better" I said, standing up to leave the room.
"Thanks bro."*
Few minutes after, I came back with a bowl of noodles and gave him. He appreciated me and I went back to finish counting the money. Immediately I was done, I left to pay it in the bank. 


That same week, I was going back to School and Mummy said 
*"David please tell Jonathan how to transfer money on my phone. You know I am not yet used to this USSD thing."*
Within minutes, I was done explaining it to him. We said our goodbyes and I longed to see my brother again until I heard just one week after that money was missing from my Mother's bank account. Suddenly a certain amount of money that seemed insignificant and tired of it's place of residence stood up and left the account to a better place with no trace. At first, the conclusion was she 
*"Mummy, you probably bought something and did not remember or you sent someone money as goodwill."*
Turns out the goodwill without remembrance was repeated over and over again.



**Who Was The Culprit?**

There were only people who had access to Mother's account; I and Jonathan. I was in school and Jonathan was at home. 
*"Jo, did you take Momcy's money?"*
*"Bro ahan for what na? Why? When all I need to do is ask"*
*"Okay."*

The next day, Mummy got her bank statements and saw that the few insignificant but visible money that left her account wen to his. She immediately called to inform me and since then till date, we never spoke.
