Incoming!!!! New UI, #LPUD, Gamification of Onboarding...

### Intro

I normally don't write posts about Leo Power-Up Day (LPUD) for a couple reasons. One, there are already so many of them out there, if you don't know about it by now, another post from me probably isn't going to help you. And two, I don't qualify for any of the prizes. This time, however, I'm making an exception.

### LPUD

For those who don't know, #LPUD is this Wednesday, February 15th. It happens every month on the 15th and is a way to both support the platform and increase your bags. To qualify you simply need to power up 150 LEO during the ***24 hours of UTC FEB 15***. That's important since the times are different depending upon where you are in the world. There's a clock under the Power Up tab in @HiveBuzz for those who want to make sure they're inside that window.

There are a few ground rules to remember. You can read the whole post [here](https://leofinance.io/@leogrowth/this-lpud-is-going-to-break-leo-finance), but I'll do a quick recap as well.

- Your total [Leo Power](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leo-power) (on the 15th) must be less than 25k.
- As mentioned, you must power up at least 150 Leo on the 15th.
- You must not have powered any Leo down since last November 15th.
- You must make a post or thread about LPUD

If you meet these criteria, you will qualify for ***prizes that total almost 300,000 LEO in delegations!*** The prizes range from 5000 LP delegations all the way up to a possible 100,000 LP delegation from the "[Super Bad Luck](https://leofinance.io/@onealfa/super-bad-luck-sbl)" prize sponsored by @onealfa.

In other words, you could get a *huge* boost to your earnings potential simply by doing something you want to do anyway: growing your account. You'll also get a badge in @HiveBuzz showing that you participated in the LPUD which the Leo team has hinted might be worth something in the months ahead. So, even if you aren't lucky enough to snag one of the prizes, your efforts may be rewarded down the road.

### But Wait, There's More....

But, that's not all. With the upcoming launch of the new UI (User Interface) this Tuesday, the Leo team has added *another* contest to the mix. Anyone who has 2000 total LeoPower will qualify to participate in a race for ***10,000 liquid LEO and an added 100,000 LP in delegations***. Counting @onealfa's prize, that means there is close to a ***possible 400,000 in LP delegations*** available from this LPUD if you qualify. That's some serious firepower.

If you already have 2000LP you can go to the LeoFinance [Discord](https://discord.gg/ztRbnEyK) where a new channel will show you how to participate. If you don't have it yet but reach it on the 15th, you can do the same. Don't worry, the "race" is not difficult. You will have plenty of time to catch up once you reach 2000LP.

### The Time is Now

So, get on your horses and get yourself the LP you need to qualify. This is "free" money. The Leo Team and many in the community want to do their part to help as many people succeed as possible. When one of us wins, we all win, and the platform grows stronger.

Coupled with the release of the new UI on Tuesday, it should be a very exciting week for LeoFinance and everyone involved.

### Another Prize

As an added bonus, although my name isn't on the list, I'm going to also add a 5000LP delegation to the prizes. As I said above, growing the new users is paramount to the success of *any* platform, not just LeoFinance. I've been fortunate enough to acquire a fairly significant stake in Leo over the last couple years so it's time to do my part and give back.

:) First off, I gotta comment again on the power and beauty of that lion in the pic!

I'm so glad I started following u as your posts seem very on the pulse of LEO and what's happening..

I feel like it's just the right time for me to get serious about LEO. I didn't really understand the power of it till now. I will definitey be adding LPUD to my routine and hope to get some of the goodies too! :P

New UI? Is this for all of LeoFinance or is it the new Threads version?

I haven't been able to participate in LPUD for awhile. My focus is on growing my HP right now, and any extra has gone to Bro. But I am still watching Leo happenings from the sidelines.

It will be for all of LeoFinance.  Threads will kind of be the driver and focal point for everything going forward but everything is being updated and enhanced.  This is the "Open Alpha" Launch so things will continue to develop as everyone tests the improvements.  I think it's going to be a pretty big deal.  At least it had *better* be for how long we've waited for it.  lol

Right now I can't participate because I don't have leo but in the coming days I will work hard to earn these coins and will definitely power them on his power up day. Hive is the Way.  I would just recommend trying to gather the $9 it costs to buy 150 Leo each month so you can participate in the lpuds.  Minus whatever you earn, of course.  Seems like it's going to be worth it down the road.  Not financial advice, of course.

I agree with you building your HP first but I would strongly encourage you to try and take part in the LPUD's if you can. At these prices it's less than $10/mo to get the 150 necessary to power up.  I realize $10 is $10 and you can only do so much but, like I said, I think it's worth trying to at least get the minimum for the power up days.

The new Leo finance app will be good for threads. I was using the older app for a while, then it just kind of stalled, I think there was a bug or something. So i think the new app is going to be more reliable. I have accumulated about 90 Leo tokens so far, just need to get a few more for power up !
