Maybe those initial photos don’t have much connection, but let’s try to bring some order to this.
Summer break is here!!
Although there’s little rest because I have to prepare for my graduation exam, right after I get back in September.
There’s still a lot to study:(:
But it was necessary to take a break. Although the break came in the form of work.
It wasn’t a planned trip, but rather a work call that took us to a small town in the center of the country.
Right now, I can’t remember the name. But if you’re from Cuba and recognize the place, leave it in the comments.
The truth is that I wasn’t going to come on the trip. The last few weeks have been very intense, and the last thing I wanted was to travel.
I needed to rest.
But I love traveling with my partner, and she promised that I wouldn’t have to work (hard to believe).
We left, and the moon was still shining in the sky. We welcomed the dawn near Matanzas, more than 100 km from the capital (Havana). Although I didn’t notice because I was exhausted.
The day before, I had been on duty.
**The Little Town**
Once we arrived at the little town (I can’t remember the name now), we looked for the rental house that would be our HQ for this trip, but first, I had to drop my girlfriend off at her meeting with her client.
I stayed with the car in a town where I didn’t know anyone, and the GPS system seemed like it had a good night out.
Needless to say, I got lost.
But I don’t mind.
I found the building in the first photo. Not at all an appropriate photo for the beauty of the place.
I sat in the park in front, with some snacks, and experienced that feeling of those who live in these little towns.
Suddenly, I felt an intense calm; the tranquility of the place was quite overwhelming, and in the surroundings, I could hear Cuban music coming from some bars for tourists.
And my phone rang. I knew my moment of peace was over.
It was my partner, calling for me to go find her. Of course, she had to send me her location, hoping the connection would allow it because I was sure I would get lost.
When I arrived, they greeted me with this drink that, according to those present, was a special preparation for us.
It was good, and more like it followed.
We spent a pleasant afternoon meeting new people.
When we left, they recommended a place where the locals gathered to watch the sunset.
Yes, it’s a custom in this little town.
And we weren’t going to be any different.
Although I didn’t like the place as much as I expected, the sky did give us a beautiful scene.
Night fell quickly, and we had to return to the house. My girlfriend is allergic to mosquito bites, and we didn’t want to take any risks.
The next day, we had a good country breakfast, and at least I was left wanting more :)
On the way back, I received another call that would change our course again.
We were headed to Trinidad to reach Tope de Collantes, but that’s another story.
This is how all those photos come together to form a unique day in a little town whose name I still can’t remember.
I wish the photos were of better quality, but they wouldn’t fit in this community ;)
Have you had an escape like this? Let me know in the comments and tell me how you remember it.
Read you soon!
