 **What an interesting situation and at the same time a bit frustrating!** Because, although electricity is not illegal, it is illegal and anti-human what we live sometimes with the absence of electricity. And more so for people like me who only have an electric stove and an electric coffee maker. If electricity has been declared illegal and I still want to prepare and enjoy a coffee without electricity, there is no other way but to go out to the patio and light firewood or a fire pit as in the old days. And since I would not be the only one without electricity, I whistle to my close friends so they can share with me and not be alone or bored.  It would be like in the time of my grandparents in the old-fashioned way in a fireplace or a chimney, we can use it to prepare the coffee we want so much in the middle of the afternoon when fatigue begins to take its toll... Take a heat resistant pot and place it over the fire. Add water and ground coffee and let it boil for a few minutes. Then, remove the pot from the heat and allow the smell and the hot coffee beans to strain out into a coffee sock or sleeve... I think only Venezuelans will understand this term.  Here on second thought I can be branded as crazy for wanting to light a fire for a coffee, but if my friends want something else in that same fire we can cook a myriad of grilled gastronomy. Hahahaha ( Laughs ) It is obvious that a coffee without electric light takes more time and effort than the traditional method but when you enjoy it and you need it in a day full of stress I think the preparation will always be worth it... .
