# Getting gold is easier than ever now 🀩 

The camo challenges have received a major overhaul in MWII. No longer will you have to spend dozens of hours unlocking the same camos over and over. Instead, you will be encouraged to use every single weapon in order to unlock all of the camos.

Each weapon has four base camos that are unlocked from completing rather simple challenges such as a certain amount of kills, kills while ADS, double kills, kill streaks, etc. Once you unlock that camo, it is unlocked for every single weapon. 

This means no more challenges to force you to get mounted kills! It also means that your favorite camo might be locked behind a challenge for your least favorite weapon. 

To get gold camo for a weapon, all you have to do is complete the four base camo challenges and then you'll unlock the new challenge for gold camo. After you get gold camo on all weapons in a certain class (Assault/SMG/LMG/etc) then you can unlock platinum for each of them. After you get 51 platinums, you have the ability to get polyatomic. After 51 polyatomic, the final camo called Orion becomes available. 

There is still a grind to finish all of the camo challenges, but it now feels far less repetitive and you will be more likely to try out every single weapon available.

I’ve already been using weapons I normally wouldn’t. It’s actually a lot of fun once you get used to using a weapon that was at first unfamiliar to you.
