# The best mobile app for Hive just got better 🌊

This release came out of nowhere for me. I had no idea that Ecency was planning on giving us a way to post and access short-form content on our mobile devices. That's exactly what happened with their latest update though. 

#### Welcome Ecency Waves 

You will see a new tab at the bottom which takes you to Waves:

This is still fairly new, so expect things to evolve in big ways in the future. For now though, it's just nice to have a reliable mobile app that enables short-form content like this on Hive. I know there are a few other options, but Ecency has the best mobile app on Hive in my opinion. 

In the past, I have mainly used Ecency for its mobile notifications feature, but now I see myself using Waves from time to time as well. 

One feature that I would love to see is an option to oping to upload short videos. We already have the ability to upload longer videos straight from Ecency, so I have a feeling that we will soon be able to upload shorts on Ecency Waves.

Now I suggest you get out there and test Ecency Waves to see what you think of it. I believe a lot of people will love it already, but once it has many more features added to it, then surely it will be loved by everyone.

Waves is more accessible, but both Threads and Waves are excellent options right now. Threads has more features and perhaps a larger community of people, but it's hard to beat the useability of Ecency's mobile application.

I just kept getting annoyed with how I had to use the Keychain browser on mobile to use Threads. I will say it does have more features, but Waves is just so much easier to jump in and out of. The shorts on Threads is gonna be a much-needed addition that surely many will love.
