El mundo del cine es tan apasionante y variado que encontrar una única película favorita me resulta bastante complicado. Mi género favorito es la comedia, algo de ciencia ficción, las románticas me atraen, de pronto un drama me atrapa, las infantiles me deleitan, las que mueven a la reflexión las admiro, una buena de acción para subir la adrenalina en ocasiones me cae bien, las de suspenso las disfruto y las que no busco de ver son las de terror y las de humor tonto, que por supuesto es algo completamente subjetivo.<br></br>
Encontrar en este abanico una que pueda decir es que es mi película favorita es el gran reto del día de hoy. He escogido la película Corre Lola, corre y te cuento por qué ésta, entre una de mis favoritas.<br></br>
>The world of cinema is so exciting and varied that finding a single favourite film is quite difficult for me. My favourite genre is comedy, some science fiction, the romantic ones attract me, suddenly a drama grabs me, the children's ones delight me, the thought-provoking ones I admire, a good action movie to get my adrenaline pumping sometimes goes down well, the thrillers I enjoy and the ones I don't seek to watch are horror and silly humour, which of course is something completely subjective.
>Finding one in this range that I can say is my favourite film is today's big challenge. I have chosen the film Run Lola, run and I will tell you why it is one of my favourites.
Corre Lola, corre es una película alemana del año 1998, no tiene un género completamente definido, para algunos es una película de suspenso, drama, crimen e incluso ciencia ficción. Para mí es una película, que además de lo anterior, es de amor y reflexión. Está protagonizada por Franka Potente (Lola) y Moritz Bleibtreu (Manni), el director es Tom Tykwer. Brevemente te hago una síntesis de Corre Lola, corre y luego te comento mi apreciación.<br></br>
>Run Lola, run is a German film from 1998, it doesn't have a completely defined genre, for some it's a thriller, drama, crime and even science fiction. For me it is a film, which in addition to the above, is a film of love and reflection. It stars Franka Potente (Lola) and Moritz Bleibtreu (Manni), the director is Tom Tykwer. Briefly, I'll give you a summary of Run Lola, run and then I'll comment on my appreciation.
La película narra la historia de una joven, Lola, de porte atlético y una cabellera roja abombada muy al estilo punk que busca desesperadamente evitar que maten a su novio, Manni. Manni es un ladrón que ha perdido, en la estación del tren, el dinero de su jefe, por lo que teme por su vida. El dinero que dejó en la estación, lo ha recogido un indigente.<br></br>
>The film tells the story of a young woman, Lola, with an athletic demeanour and a punkish red head of hair, who desperately tries to prevent her boyfriend, Manni, from being killed. Manni is a thief who has lost his boss's money at the train station and fears for his life. The money he left at the station is picked up by a homeless man.
Manni, angustiado, llama a Lola para contarle lo sucedido y para decirle que va a hacer un atraco para reponer el dinero perdido y que solo tiene 20 minutos para hacerlo, Lola le pide que no haga el atraco y se compromete a conseguir el dinero, que es una cantidad considerable y que ella no tiene disponible, Sin embargo, decide salir a buscarlo y acuerda con él encontrarse en un sitio para entregarle el dinero. ¿Nada nuevo, verdad? Pero, a partir de ese momento comienza la acción.<br></br>
En tres segmentos de 20 minutos, cada uno, se narran 3 panoramas distintos, haciendo casi las mismas acciones, solo algunas modificaciones, en cada una, que transforman el final.<br></br>
>Manni, distressed, calls Lola to tell her what has happened and to tell her that he is going to make a robbery to replace the lost money and that he only has 20 minutes to do it. Lola asks him not to make the robbery and promises to get the money, which is a considerable amount and which she does not have available. However, she decides to go out to look for it and agrees to meet him in a place to give him the money. Nothing new, right? But, from that moment on, the action begins.
>In three segments of 20 minutes, three different scenarios are narrated, doing almost the same actions, only some modifications in each one that transform the ending.
##### Primera opción
Lola siempre corriendo, al salir de su apartamento se encuentra con un perro que le gruñe y corre más rápido, va en busca de su padre para que le preste el dinero, en su carrera tropieza con el indigente que tiene el dinero pero, ella no lo sabe, en la confusión causa un accidente de carro. Al llegar al trabajo del papá, quien es gerente de un banco y que le tiene poco aprecio a Lola y la ve como una loca, le niega la ayuda. Lola sale corriendo del banco para donde esta Manni, que ya está robando la tienda, ella lo ayuda, escapan, pero la policía los rodea y un agente hiere a Lola.
Mientras está muriendo, el director, nos lleva a una escena de amor, donde Lola le pregunta a Manni si la ama, él le dice que sí, pero ella no le cree y se dice así misma, que no quiere eso. Allí viene el reinicio y se da la segunda opción.<br></br>
>##### First option
>Lola is always running, when she leaves her flat she meets a dog that growls at her and runs faster, she goes in search of her father so that he can lend her the money, in her race she bumps into the homeless man who has the money but, she doesn't know it, in the confusion she causes a car accident. When she arrives at her father's work, who is a bank manager and who doesn't like Lola and sees her as crazy, he refuses to help her. Lola runs out of the bank to Manni, who is already robbing the shop, she helps him, they escape, but the police surround them and an officer wounds Lola.
>While she is dying, the director takes us to a love scene, where Lola asks Manni if he loves her, he says yes, but she doesn't believe him and tells herself that she doesn't want that. There comes the reboot and the second option is given.
##### Segunda opción
Lola al salir corriendo del apartamento el dueño del perro le pone una sandadilla, se cae y el golpe la hace cojear, lo cual la retrasa pero, aún así, vuelve a tropezar con el indigente y ocurre el mismo accidente de tránsito, pero ahora no le pide ayuda al padre sino que le roba el arma al vigilante del banco, y roba el banco. Huye para verse con Manni. Cuando él la ve y va a cruzar la calle para encontrarse con ella, una ambulancia lo atropella.<br></br>
Mientras está muriendo, el director, nos lleva a una escena de amor, donde Manni le pregunta a Lola si lo ama, ella le dice que sí, pero él lo pone en duda, Manni dice que no quiere eso y viene la tercera opción.<br></br>
>##### Second option
>Lola when running out of the flat the dog owner puts a sandal on her, she falls and the blow causes her to limp, which slows her down but still she trips over the homeless man again and the same traffic accident happens, but now she doesn't ask the father for help but steals the gun from the bank watchman, and robs the bank. She runs away to meet Manni. When he sees her and goes to cross the street to meet her, he is hit by an ambulance. As he is dying, the director, takes us to a love scene, where Manni asks Lola if she loves him, she says yes, but he doubts it, Manni says he doesn't want that and the third option comes.
##### Tercera opción
Lola una vez que recibe la llamada del novio sale corriendo del apartamento, salta sobre el perro, ya no entra al banco ni se produce el accidente de carros, ve un casino, entra y con el dinero que tiene compra una ficha, juega y gana dos veces, logrando más dinero del que requería. Manni ha encontrado al indigente que había tomado el dinero y se lo intercambia por el arma que tiene. Cuando Lola llega al punto de encuentro, Manni se está despidiendo muy amablemente del jefe. La pareja se abraza y comienzan a caminar muy felices.<br></br>
>##### Third option

Bien, ¿Por qué esta película está entre mis preferidas? Porque me ayuda a comprender que siempre tenemos opciones, que para una situación hay diversas alternativas y diversas consecuencias. Es la teoría del efecto mariposa que cualquier acción que realices siempre tendrá una consecuencia. Lo que me lleva a pensar sobre lo determinante que es accionar cuando queremos cambios y transformaciones, porque si no acciono de otra manera, siempre tendré el mismo resultado.<br></br>
Por otro lado me parece que la película tiene su lado amoroso, hacia uno mismo cuando se niega aceptar las cosas que no queremos y hacia el otro, porque somos capaces de hacer mucho, hasta la carrera más loca, para evitar que las personas que amamos sufran. Excelente película.<br></br>

>On the other hand, it seems to me that the film has a loving side, towards oneself when we refuse to accept the things we don't want and towards the other, because we are capable of doing a lot, even the craziest race, to prevent the people we love from suffering. Excellent film.
