Last Night I Walked Around in a Computer Simulation - Steemit Vlog #1

## My story about the power of trying on simulation theory (or 'the simulation hypotheses') as a belief system.

This is my first Steemit Vlog post (actually my first ever Vlog attempt of any kind) so I'm sure they're going to get a lot better than this... but I've decided to just start and let the learning happen as we go, for all eyes to see.

The video quality kinda sucks but I've decided to resist the urge to redo this first post. This vlog is more about capturing thoughts in the moment, than about delivering a polished product. Having said that, I am going to figure out how to get higher quality video before my next post. Any tips are welcome! I'm recording on my iPhone 6s and then uploading directly to Youtube. I want to be able to post these vlog entries as they come to me on the fly.

Also, I'm not attempting to be an authority on any specific topic with this vlog, I'm merely trying to inspire thought and discussion.

Interesting.  I've taken simulation theory as a given since the first time I heard the proof.   Hard to deny the math. 

On the other hand, from the perspective of someone inside the machine, a team of programmers and God are entirely indistinguishable.  As far as I can see, they're also irrelevant, unless there is some magical way to level up to the next simulation.  Like maybe if I do enough Yoga I get to become Skynet.

Of course, maybe, like turtles, it's simulations all the way down ;)
