I guess it is because it is still in its early phase. Another thing is that most who are presenting it have little knowledge of this [ecosystem](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-ecosystem-digital). In the end, it always boils down to [cryptocurrency](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/cryptocurrency). Is web3 crypto or crypto is a part of web3? It has been same entanglement with [blockchain](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/blockchain) tech and crytpto.

There are many things to [address](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-address) about this part of the web as [digital](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-digital) exploding draws closer. What is web3 selling? How convincing can this be sold? The fact is that many in this industry have been sending out entirely the wrong product. Yes, it has always been about crypto! Crypto!! Crypto!!!. There are a [lot](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-lot-commodities) of things to talk about when trying to expand this industry. You can enter into the area of [data](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-data) [security](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-security), ownership and [freedom](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-freedom). I will be centering on the area of [investment](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-investment).

When talking of investment, we are not talking of ‘buy today and pump your bag tomorrow’. It has been that big and wrong message that is continually sent out. It is not about memes and [ALL](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-all-currency) sorts of such shitcoins market behaviors. To be more precise, web3 is the [Next](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-next-2007-film) phase of investment platforms; a [stage](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-stage) to take advantage of digital abundance.

When I am talking of monetizing, one should not be mostly concerned in the hand to mouth activity. This is why many are flocking into the pump the bags activities and mostly get frustrated. The saddening part is that they at the end tag a bad name to this entire [ecosystem](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-ecosystem). I have explained severally why quick green candles will not favor this ecosystem; that is a [gamblers](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-gambler-) business. One of the most difficult thing to do is to put people on the same page. When did you become a global investment advisor? One may chuckle.

I can remember when I went to plant coconut trees with my Dad, it took some [years](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-year) before we ate from it and it is still producing till date. What I am trying to explain here is the tree stage. A seed first turns to a tree before later bearing fruit. This is done in respect to time. Many are planning to make a fortune in three [months](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-month) to a year. Not impossible anyway yet if your place your financial future on rarity your chances of frustration is high.

Coming back [home](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-home), if someone should ask you to in few words explain web3 and also convince him why he should hop wat will be your response? A game of luck or [professional](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-professional) investment building? Are we marketing green candles. Have you ever asked yourself, assuming we were dealing with stable [tokens](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-token), how will web3 ever scale? If it can't then it means the entire system is in lack of utility. 

To conclude, let me add, the entire idea here is to shift our focus more from green candles. I am not against [price](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-price) growth, it is an added value to this ecosystem. Marketable price swings make this entire system unmarketable. In the [days](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-day) of bearish operation expect many to pack their bags. Web3 should be marketing the future, not [NOW](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-negotiable-order-of-withdrawal-account-now). The idea is to not an ecosystem of mere survival but financial freedom.
