I just finished a 6.315km running that lasted about 0hh:37mm:24ss ! <center></center> TL;DR - Full of energy this evening, and the pace showed 👌 Another day, another run (well another night, but you know what I mean) After a pretty good day at work, it was time to get back out there and carry on training. I don't quite no what I'm traing for yet, but hopefully some sort of race in the summer would be cool, plus it would help to give my training something to focus on. *Note to self: find a local running event in the summer* Anyway, I arrived at home full of energy and rarring to go, so I laced up my shoes and headed straight out. Tonight I fancied doing something a little different. The past few weeks have generally been plodding around and getting the miles in. Its becoming a bit boring doing the same thing each time. Way back when I started running (we're talking like 15 years ago) I used to run laps around the streets near my parents house. You can see this in the image below. <center></center> When I first started I didn't a great deal of fitness (or confidence for that matter) so I stuck to running the streets close to me. Becuase the laps were only small (approx 1km) it was easy to do several in a session, and it meant it was easy to track my progress as I got quicker over the passing months. Tonight, for old times sake, I decided to run over towards that particular housing estate. Coincidently, I live approx 10 minutes away from there, so that was perfect for a little bit of a warm up. And then when I arrived, I set my stopwatch going and did two laps at a more determined pace, It felt really good to stretch my legs and go at a faster pace, and strange to do a route I I haven't run round in... almost a sprint down memory lane haha! After the two laps, I took it easier and headed for home. Hi Dan, nice run, have you thought about parkrun as a local running event? I have heard there are lots of them in the U.K, were they first started. We go regularly out here in Australia.
