Everyone loves going to school and then comes the college and then the university and finally we end up working in some organization. Yes, this is how our life revolves (at least mine). I still remember my parents saying that you have to study well if you want to live a good life. I went to a good school and have access to all the resources that I needed for my studies (even more than that thanks to my parents). But, everyone is not so lucky.

There are many students who are unable to continue their academics because of poverty or some family issues. There were a couple of my friends who went through the same. I really feel bad when someone is not able to continue their academics just because of unavailability of money or resources. I think education is a basic right of each individual and everyone should have opportunity and access to quality education.

There exists some website which offers cheap courses on various topics but those website does not have a proper social interaction platform where employers can interact with students and students can interact with fellow students with similar interest.

**Expercoin platform**

Expercoin aims at creating a platform which will enable users to launch their own marketplace (also termed as a republic) and learning communities. These marketplaces and communities will be decentralized and will be powered by AI. It means that anyone like me or you can create a specialized community for purpose of learning, jobs.

There is an interesting story behind the establishment of this company. The company got its idea from another company named &#39;Experfy&#39; (Harvard incubated) which has an AI-focused community of more than 25,000 data scientists. Some of the key features of the platform are-

- The offered courses are listed in the marketplace
- Employers can also post job opportunities or internship opportunities
- Students can hire mentors to help them with any project
- The platform can also be used as the first screening process for jobs as employers could verify certifications
- Students who cannot afford tuition can also request for tuition assistance. The lender will then pay on the behalf of the student.

**ICO and team**

Expercoin uses ERC20 token which is created on Ethereum blockchain. The company has released 2.75 billion EXPR tokens. Out of the total released tokens, only 45% will be available for sale. The private sale will be held from 1st June 2018- 30th July 2018. Whereas public sale will be from 1st August 2018 in which tokens will be sold at a rate of 1 EXPR token= $ 0.025 USD.

EXPR token will be used for all the transaction on the platform and also while interacting with other digital services.

Expercoin is a product of Harvard Innovation Labs and the team behind it has been working very hard to make this platform possible and I think they have done tremendous work.

**Conclusion**

The company has announced that it will be launching its first marketplace in November 2018 and App store in May 2019 to extend the functionality of the platform. Till now company look strong and determined in creating a marketplace which will help both students and employers.

While going through the company&#39;s methodology and working process, I found few key features which prompted me to invest in them. Some of them are-

- The decentralized platform which means that anyone with the token can vote on matters related to future project
- The platform runs various reward opportunities
- Fast and cheap transaction fees
- Financial Aid for students from a poor background.

Expercoin believes that poverty or unavailability of proper opportunity or resource should not create hurdle in the life of any students. If you believe in the same ideology then you should invest in the company. I believe that best learning is achieved in a group of common people and it is what Expercoin is trying to achieve.
