I was in my third grade when our class teacher told us that the earth is facing a severe problem of global warming today which is only expected to get worse in the coming years and one day it would reach to such a level that it would be the end of the world. Well it was quite frightening for a 9 year old boy who had recently started thinking about his dreams and aspirations in life so as soon as school ended I ran till my house, went inside my room and strated praying. I prayed that please, please batman, make the earth happy again and stop global warming from happen. It obviously didn't work out and also made me realise that superheros aren't real but one more thing that it made me realise was that even in movies they usually fight the aliens coming from outer space. No one is ready to tackle the problem thats already going on inside earth since so many years. An astronaut once said that earth is the most beautiful thing you see from the outer space. It looks like a living, breathing organism. But at the same time, it also looks very fragile and delicate. Global warming is now an age old problem for the whole world. While we might say carbon dioxide and other green house gasses are the main villains in the battle causing rising temperatures, melting of the arctic ice and overall increase in pollution. But the truth is that we humans are not only the biggest victims of this problem but all the villain causing it. Various efforts have been taken from organisations and governments from all around the world but the betterment of the situation is happening slower than expected. The use of renewable resources have also been helpful but the growth is slow and time consuming. There was an urgent need to have a solution that is easy to implement, grows faster and would benefit in reducing global warming in the best possible way. And hence the **Zero carbon project** was started.
**What is the project about?**
Zero carbon is a project which focuses on tackling the problems related to climate change with the help of block chain, crypto currencies and international carbon credits. It is basically working towards creating a zero carbon environment. The main aim of this project is to create an ecosystem of customer and suppliers towards the betterment of the environment. So how would the project work is that it would be a bridge between energy suppliers and the customers. The energy suppliers would use their international carbon credits to offset the carbon emissions to the minimum level. Thus creating a competitive market for the supplier to provide energy at cheaper rates. The customers would benefit by getting energy for cheaper rates and also would receive rewards in the terms of energis tokens for supporting the battle against global warming. This is the basic structure of how the project works.
**Energis tokens**
This is the utility token that is created by the zero carbon project. This token would be used to do all the transactions on the platform. It is a token which has been designed to capture future utility value. Which means it would prove to have great value in the future. As this token would be used to pay the transaction fees while getting into contracts and to pay rewards to the customers and also for them to pay bills it would be in great demand as and when more users start coming on the platform. And as the number of tokens in supply would still be the same, the value of the tokens are definitely expected to be appreciated.
**Conclusion**
Zero carbon project can prove to be the our first step towards the battle against global warming. It would give all of us an opportunity to be a part of the change. It would not only be beneficial for the environment but it will also generate monetary benefits for the users. The energy suppliers would benefit by all the new customer base available to them and the customers will benefit from low rate energy supply and their rewards. And hence all of us would become a part of this movement that is being started by the the zero carbon project and which would allow us to be our own superheroes. Now we can also say that yes, I am the one Saving the world this time!
