Fake news can push many agendas or mislead the public, but false accusations can end a person's career in an unrecoverable way. Izu's death changed a lot of narratives on social media as it was becoming highly toxic for men especially Nigerian men in this case. It was a situation where everyone believed what the woman said regardless of the evidence. Izu to me is a hero as his death was not pointless. It is sad that a young man struggling with mental health was subject to false rape accusations and had to end his life. He had such a bright and pressing future.

In my view, false accusations should receive the full wrath of the law.
