Hello fearless Grasshopper; A Steemit Photo Challenge entry

<p>&nbsp;Grasshoppers have been one of my favorite creatures for as long as I remember.</p>
<p>I grew up with a small pond, wooded area and grassland. Grasshoppers of all sorts passed through my days outside playing.&nbsp;</p>
<p>I know of several times as a child where I saw my equal in the face of one. I remember one in particular, peeking around a large blade of grass just taking me in. It was myself and the hopper, face to face wondering what the heck the other is for minutes on end.</p>
<p>"do not go in fear, Grasshopper. Fear is eternal darkness. Go instead with inner strength. For it is like a deep river, into which all streams flow. It increases, always moving forward. And soon, there is nothing that can stand in its way." &nbsp;-Kung Fu the movie</p>
<p>I still find the hopper to be very interesting.</p>
<p>This particular not so little bug, hopped in front of me, took a bite out of that leaf and met my gaze with no fear; no problem.</p>
<p>This was shot for the weekend Steemit.com photo challenge.</p>

<p>This image was shot Friday August 12 2016. In the Albuquerque Bio Gardens, I was hunting for butterfly's and this little thing said "what up?"</p>
<p>1/320 sec, f/7.1, ISO 400, 82mm equivalent.</p>

Actually it was huge, and it wasn't afraid of me at all. I don't have a real macro lens yet (I just ordered one) that gives you an idea of how big it is. It took a bite out of the leaf. You can see a small section missing.
