A look at Bitcoin markets in Q2 150521
73.73% of all crypto market cap are in these 7 coins.

Only 39.16% of that is in BTC, the other 34.57% in ETH, BNB, ADA, XRP, DOGE, or USDT. Everything else comprises a mere 26.27% of total market cap. Does this mean that the 'altcoin' market is still filled with many potential projects! Certainly it does, but I would also suggest that you might want to look more closely at each of these projects as the market has deemed them significant.

I will point out that Hive is ranked 280 right now, with a mere $177 million in market cap. This chain is still an undiscovered GEM, but don't wait for the speculators to find Hive, onboard 12 of your friends this summer. If 40k monthly users refer just 4 there could be 160,000 new users looking for Hive to power up. I would rather see users vesting Hive, and participating in the research we do here, than have mass adoption through something like coinbase. **What can we learn from the past two ATHs?**

Oh wow, 73.73% of total marketcap on just 7 coins! That's quite staggering.

About this referring people to hive thing. Man, it would really work though, but I remember referring people to Steemit back in the day, they all ran away when they couldn't make satisfactory amounts 😂 and they're not grateful to me at all, they didn't appreciate my making them waste all that effort 😂😂

Many people don't want to stay in hive and just kick it and have fun like they do on Facebook, they keep looking at hive like just a place where you do tasks and make money. It is until most of us here accept this place as a fun place and market it as a fun place rather than a task for money place that we would have the adoption and market cap we want.

 Until then, though, we might still get there but I think it is sure to be a slow progress. But Communities are changing the game too, the money people really want from this blockchain is becoming more and that's cool for more adoption.
