You do have to wonder though just how stable these rocks are. I would imagine if we fast forwarded into the future a couple hundred years, the landscape may look somewhat different! Friend @daveks , when I was young I taught a subject or subject, called Earth Sciences, for students in high school or college, where the subject was mostly the study of rock systems, landscapes, study of the earth in general, it would have been good interesting to have taken my students to such distinguished rocky places. It would have been very impressive and important, to have attended the Athabasca Falls and the layers and twisted rock formations that you present. So after the colour version is finalized, I convert to black and white then crank up the clarity, all in lightroom. Then I process the image in Camera plus using a specific filter which can be fine tuned even more.
