Hello, friends of #holos-lotus. I only started publishing on Hive a few days ago, so I'm still feeling my way around it. This is the first time I've interacted specifically with this community, although I've already enjoyed reading some of its members. Luckily, I haven't felt alone at any point, as some great friends have been part of it for a while, and it comforts me to know they're close by. One of those friends is @maylink. Talking to her, reading her, or simply thinking about her is always a motivating and reflective moment for me, an opportunity to open my eyes and see and reflect on myself from the perspectives she evokes. Those of us who know her personally know how her conversations can move, but this time what moved me was her call to reflect on what we do, what we think, and who we are when no one is watching.

I am deeply motivated by this topic because I personally believe that the true essence of life occurs in those brief moments of solitude? When, far from prying eyes, we sit down to converse with our conscience, without fear, and to align, as far as possible, our will and subconscious, what we are and think (when perhaps we don't even see ourselves) with what we decide to be or do.

When no one sees us, there's no longer any reason to wear masks or armor. Without a shell, we can be a fragile mollusk whose only true threat could be our own inner voice, if we haven't managed to be consistent with it.

One of the things that gives me the most peace is feeling that there aren't any major differences between who I am in public and who I am when no one is watching. And I emphasize the fact that there are differences, even if they aren't significant. Social pressure influences the "public version" we present, but I think the pressure we put on ourselves in society is even greater.

I'm not referring to pretending to do anything to meet what is required of us, but rather to what, even though sometimes it isn't required of us, we demand of ourselves. I'm talking, for example, about mothers who, sometimes exhausted, smile at our children and stand for a while longer to make them feel safe; about children who, despite the pain and daily worries, continue to tell their parents "everything's fine" so as not to worry them further. And I could go on mentioning examples, but I know you understand what I'm talking about.

I have been that person in the light of the world, and I have been a slightly happier woman when no one sees me and I can break down, rebuild, scold myself, congratulate myself with pride, and, ultimately, reflect and build myself. That is the time to get to know myself, without pressure, without time against me. That is the time to reaffirm my principles and separate the rubbish from the things that truly matter to me.

When no one sees me, I see myself. Who I allow myself to be and what I allow myself to do in that brief moment will determine how proud I am of myself, the only company I cannot let go of. Thanks again to @maylink for inviting us to reflect on this topic and for the light. Greetings.

Hola, amigos de #holos-lotus. Hace pocos días comencé esta experiencia de publicar en Hive, por lo que aún ando a tientas. Es esta la primera vez que interactúo en esta comunidad específicamente, aunque ya he podido disfrutar leyendo a algunos de los que la conforman. Por suerte no me he sentido sola en ningun momento pues grandes amigos ya son parte de ella hace un tiempo y me reconforta saberlos cerca. Uno de esos amigos es @maylink.  Hablar con ella, leerla, o simplemente pensarla, siempre me resulta un momento de motivación y reflexión, una oportunidad de desperezar los ojos para ver y verme desde los puntos de vista que convoca. Quienes la conocemos personalmente sabemos cómo pueden mover sus conversaciones, pero en esta ocasión lo que me movió fue su convocatoria a reflexionar sobre qué hacemos, qué pensamos o quiénes somos cuando nadie nos ve.

Me motiva sobremanera el tema porque personalmente creo que la verdadera esencia de la vida sucede en esos breves instantes de ¿soledad? cuando, lejos del ojo ajeno, nos sentamos a conversar con la conciencia, sin temor, y a poner en sintonía, dentro de lo posible, la voluntad y el subconsciente, lo que somos y pensamos (cuando tal vez ni nosotros mismos nos vemos) con lo que decidimos ser o hacer. 

Cuando nadie nos ve, ya no queda razón para llevar máscaras o armaduras. Se puede ser, sin concha, un frágil molusco cuya única y verdadera amenaza pudiera ser su propia voz interna, si no ha logrado ser coherente con ella.

Una de las cosas que más paz me generan es sentir que entre quien soy en público y quien soy cuando nadie me ve no existen grandes diferencias. Y destaco el hecho de que sí existen diferencias,  aunque no sean considerables. La presión social influye en esa "versión pública " que mostramos, pero creo que la presión que nos ponemos a nosotros mismos ante la sociedad es aún mayor. 

No me refiero a fingir nada para cumplir con lo que se nos exige, sino a lo que , aunque a veces no nos exigen, nos exigimos nosotros mismos. Hablo, por ejemplo, de las madres que en ocasiones ya sin fuerzas sonreímos a nuestros hijos y resistimos otro rato en pie para hacerlos sentir seguros, de los hijos que a pesar del dolor y las preocupaciones diarias seguimos diciendo a nuestros padres: "todo bien" para no preocuparlos más. Y así pudiera seguir mencionando ejemplos, pero sé que entienden de qué hablo.

Yo he sido esa a la luz del mundo, y he sido una mujer un poco más feliz cuando nadie me ve y me puedo romper, armar, regañar, felicitarme con orgullo y, en definitiva, reflexionar y construirme. Esa es la hora de conocerme, sin presión, sin tiempo en contra. Esa es la hora de aprovechar para reafirmar mis principios y separar la hojarazca de las cosas que de verdad me importan.

Cuando nadie me ve, yo me veo. Quien me permito ser y lo que me permito hacer en ese breve instante determinará que tan orgullosa esté de mí, la única compañía de la que me es imposible desprenderme.
