My solar panels getting some morning sun as I took this picture a few days ago. One good thing about having solar panels is that it does help with the electric bill.  Well, it helps me with my electric bill that is. I have my solar panels connected to 6 different grid tie inverters that would change the direct current of the solar panels to alternating current, which my house runs on.

I did have to move and rewire some of my solar panels as it would make it more efficient for fall and winter sun, as the sun moves closer to the outer southern circle of the earth. So I moved the solar panels to take advantage of sun coming in from a more southern angle. In the summer the sun can go directly over head, but during fall and winter the sun moves through its portals that move in a wider circle closer to the outer southern circle.

I was using just two grid tie inverters, but I found that the wires can burn out with that many amps going through the wires. So to level out the energy I have no more than 8 solar panels to a grid tie inverter, and on one grid tie inverter I just have 4 solar panels. Doing it this way I actually produce more wattage and the energy is a lot easier on the wires. Well, I have to go through my learning stages of do it yourself solar.

Of course the draw back on having solar panels is that, the sun is not always shining. For this fall I only have about 9 hours of sunlight and as we move to winter the sunlight would lessen. Of course I look forward to the summer sun when there is more daylight, but I did move the solar panels to capture more of the fall and winter sun, and of course in California I do have a lot of sun.

Then there are the cloudy days, with cloudy days, the panels will produce some energy, but not a lot.

So the solar panels are limited to the sunlight that is available at the time.

For me they do help and I am glad that I have them, and God willing I will enjoy having them for a long time.
