I kept telling myself that I would get some cheap gloves and cut the tips off so I could write with some gloves on. Well, it was pretty cold last night and I remembered I had an extra pair of these cloth gloves that I bought for that purpose.
So I just took a scissors and cut off the tips. Then I had to cut off more of the tips. I think they are about right now. I bought these gloves at the Dollar Tree store where everything is a dollar.
So I will just keep these gloves at the computer so I won't lose them.
I should have cut a pair like these when I used to work for the telephone company. I didn't mind when the place at the telephone company was air conditioned cold in the summer, but when the place was cold in the winter, then that is another story.
Yes, I should have cut a pair of these for all those years of working at the telephone company during those cold winter days at the keyboard. After awhile of wearing them for yesterday and today they seem pretty comfortable. Oh well, at least I have a pair for my night time blogging.
Actually, last night I was back and forth from my cold computer room to where my warm fireplace is. Cold and warm and cold and warm. Well these gloves do add a bit of warmth.
Today as I was watching the fire, ever notice that watching the fire is a lot more interesting than watching TV? Well anyway, I was looking at my cat playing with something. I couldn't see it, so I pickup a flashlight and seen that my cat had a mouse.
Well, that is good as I have noticed that some mice have made there way into my house. So my cat was throwing around this mouse, then I saw that she was doing some chewing and I heard things cracking, crunching and popping.
Well, before I knew it my cat had eaten that mouse. Well, that is good, out of sight, out of mind. Then as if the mouse was just an hors d'oeuvre, she when over to her dried cat food and ate some more.
Well, I guess my cat was hungry. I hope she is hungry enough to get some more mice. Actually she is a pretty good hunter. I did notice a mouse rush through the bathroom the other day, then not too long after that sighting I see my cat with a mouse in her mouth.
So she had caught at least two mice that I know of and I saw her at least eat one of them. She might have even ate the other one, but I didn't witness it.
I did put out a couple of mouse traps in a box with small holes on the sides so a mouse can get in. You see I didn't want my cat to step on one of the mouse traps by mistake so I put them in the box where only a mouse or rat can get into, but not the cat.
Then I just taped up the top. I will cut the taping open and check it from time to time to see if any mice got trapped and if no mice were trapped then I just tape the top of the box again.
Since my cat seems to like hanging out near the fireplace I took a rather large piece of wood and put it into the fireplace. It burned for about 6 hours straight, then I put another piece of wood on top of that.
Well that should be enough to burn to about midnight or so. After awhile it seems my cat finds me in the middle of the night and I find her sleeping on me until I wake up.
Well, I guess my cat has it made. Well, at least she eats the mice and they are out of sight.
Today I went to the farmers market, but it was raining. So when I got there, there was no sign of a farmers market. Well, I guess they all packed up early, cause of the rain.
So since I was out and about I decided to go to Winco and I got some chicken thighs, toilet paper, paper towels and some Progresso Soup Clam Chowder. I like the easy check out when I only have a few things to buy.
I really like it as it is another way to get rid of my change. I usually try to get rid of the change, then I use the dollar bills. I wrote a blog about not using Coinstar cause they will charge you 11.9 percent just to put your coins in there machine.
Well, I don't want to lose 12 cents on every dollar so I just put the coins into the machine at the easy check out. This way I save the 12 cents on every dollar. I like saving money where ever I go.
So speaking of saving money, I'm glad I bought these cloth gloves at the Dollar Tree Store for a dollar. I would never cut a really good pair of gloves for writing on a keyboard, but for a dollar, I can cut off the tips for some warm keying gloves.
Let's end with a scripture, Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8.
