This is my mom's Swiss Chard. I helped raise them from seedlings at my own house and then I brought them here and transplanted them. 

My mom now stays with my little sister. My mom had some medical issues to deal with and it seems like my mom will stay with my little sister for a long long time.

Well, my mom is just turned 92 years old. I tell her to try to eat things with lots of minerals, like chicken liver and seaweed. These are the things I try to eat myself, as I know that the body works better with lots of minerals. 

Of course eating things like Swiss Chard helps too. It is just that my mom is now in a town northeast of me, maybe an hour and half drive or so. Maybe I can grow some seedlings and my sister and her husband can grow some Swiss Chard.

Also with all the rain we been getting the Swiss Chard is looking strong. I have Swiss Chard growing in my own backyard.

I told you that my mom recently turned 92. My brother, Mark wrote our mom a song for her birthday, did you want to hear it?

To me that is a good song. Mark wrote it himself. Well, Mark is a singer/songwriter. He can do things with a guitar that I can't do. My brother, Mark will be be 66 years old in a couple of months and I am 64 years old as I write.

So back to the Swiss Chard. Did you know that these plants went to seed last year, but I told my mom to just cut down the plants and they will grow again and of course seed in its time.

It is like cutting down a rose bush to get a stronger plant, by cutting it down.

That reminds me of a scripture, Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. John 15:2.

So these Swiss Chard plants are growing like a bush. Maybe when my little sister and her family brings our mom back for a visit, she can see how the Swiss Chard has grown.

Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, with Jesus speaking, I am the vine, ye the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5.
