This night I lit a fire in my fireplace. I am surprised that I could light a fire and it has been a while since it last rained. You see there is a website that lets me know if it is OK to light a fire in the fireplace or not.

Well, we have been having a lot of wind. So I guess the wind has been blowing all the bad air away. I even checked the air quality and it says it is good.

Sitting next to the fire my cat joins me. I was trying to take a picture of her, but she moves around so much that I thought I'll just switch to video.

So this is her.

I picked up my cat in September 2012 from a no kill animal shelter. I liked her cause she did have her shots and she was already spayed.

I seen her first on the internet. So I thought I would go there and see if she liked me. Well I did go there and wanted to see this cat. She seemed to like me as I was petting her there.

Actually they said she was a year old, but after I seen her paperwork I think she was more closer to two years old at the time.

So I figure she is about seven or eight years old now. When they put her in the cat carrier she was screaming her cat cry.

When I finally got her home she ran to my bedroom and hid under my bed. Well it took some coaxing and she came to me.

So here we are now almost 5 and a half years later and she is sitting by the fire with me and at night it is not unusual to find her sleeping on my chest.
