 "It is discriminatory and contrary to science": the Council of Europe rejects the green pass. The parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe points the finger at the vaccination obligation - direct or indirect - at the basis of the green certification introduced in the EU. A report approved in late January by a large majority accuses the use of green certifications to discriminate and "punish the unvaccinated". Therefore, the states are urged by the Council of Europe to "inform citizens that no one must be vaccinated if they do not want to". As well as to "guarantee that no one will be discriminated against if they are not vaccinated". According to the report, the concept of the green pass is "contrary to science", in the absence of data on the effectiveness of vaccines in reducing contagiousness and on the duration of acquired immunity. Precisely because they "discriminate" the unvaccinated with bans aimed at "preventing SarsCov2". In this regard, it must be said that the vaccine officially prevents the development of severe forms of the Covid disease but does not protect against contagion. But it doesn't stop there. According to the dossier delivered by lawyer Renate Holzeisen, the green pass also undermines the mutual recognition of vaccination certifications between EU countries. This is because, according to EU legislation, this mutual recognition is subject to scientific evidence on the interruption of the transmission chains. While the vaccines approved by the EMA have proved effective in preventing the serious forms of Covid but they do not prevent the spread of the virus. Holzeisen condemns the continuing violations of the rights of EU citizens. Based - is the lawyer's accusation - moreover, on the experimentation of substances whose precise benefits and side effects are not yet known. It goes without saying that the whole governments will not take into account the ruling of the Council of Europe. Also because apparently the green pass control system will continue, beyond the health emergency.
