A friend of mine @tanlikming was asking, Wow! Dave, since when you have so much of SP? How much have you invested? My answer is, I've invested about 200 steems years ago, and that's about it. But how do I get so quickly to close to 10ksp despite I'm having so low upvote value?

Here's my answer, @minnowbooster has been with me for quite sometime now, and now with @dlease as well. I've been leasing in SP since 2018. At one point, @yasu24 pointed out our SP value are very similar. From there onwards, I kinda find people with similar SP counts does notice their peer. Be it actual staked SP or leased SP. I'm not saying this becasue of circle jerking, but we do wanna learn more from our peer and see how they got here, and I believe similarly to other people when they looked at my SP, they will read my wallet message and find out what sort of income I'm producing. Frankly, 10s of thousands of SP is a joke nowadays. Not even mention small dolphin like myself with less than 10k SP is even smaller. So, don't joke about circle jerking. Because my 10x full upvotes will only worth less than a dollar. So, how can $1 be a real dolphin nowadays?

You see, leasing is a very addictive phenomena for some of us. I'm sure @lovelemon understand what am I trying to say here. When she was new, she doesn't have enough RC to post. I tried to delegate her, but I needed my voting power to earn my curation reward, so in the end I resort to buying her a lease from @minnowbooster. She was happily using the delegation to make posts and upvoting others. Sadly, the lease didn't last long and gotten cancelled. Instead of me getting refund from the balance of the lease, she gotten the refund to her account?! May be @minnowbooster / @dlease can take note of this? Anyway, it's not like I need those steem, I told @lovelemon she can keep the returned steem for future SP leasing. And today, she lease her way up to a minnow status. I would like to congratulate her on that.

I don't know how you see your SP. But I think having a bigger amount of effective SP is equally important in terms of influence. You can see I have 6000SP at stake, but if you see me delegated 5900SP to others(for obvious reason) and uses 100SP to upvote you, how will you feel? I mean, I don't mind if you have 10,000,000SP you delegate 99% of them and you still upvote me with your 100,000SP.

Fortunately I found my way of survival skill, and I am glad some of my friends are actually enjoying lease SP. Having bigger SP, not only can we earn a bigger curation reward, it also gives us more influencial power to others. I know the upvote value may not be as impressive as it seems compare to million SP account holder, but atleast when I upvote others, it does not look too weak. Moreover, I have the sort of believe if we can't manage a small SP, there's no way we will be able to handle big SP. We will in the end be wasting opportunity. So, leasing SP can be a very good training ground. Just like those rich people tells you, if you don't manage your money, then your money will manage you.

I'm not saying I have the holy grail, but from there on, I already knowing upvote others with a value, is going to return me with curator reward, as well as bringing me audience. Upvte itself is a gesture of appreciation, but the monetize reward can really turn some head when SP is getting bigger.

My recent request of 10k SP lease, only 3 portion of them gotten filled. Mainly due to my request of APR is slightly low as I did a manual calculation, the APR is only 15%. Perhaps, I should raise my par and be competitive compare to my fellow competitors? I have upcoming project need to conduct with powerful upvotes, so other people can equally getting benefit from my upvote. I won't know if I continue to lease bigger can help me attain my 10kSP target in 2020 on time, but I believe if there's a will, there's a way to achieve it. And I believe in rewarding the community will bring equal amount of awareness in #steem #blockchain, and ultimately benefit for my investments.
