Hey guys, here's how good a phone funded by steem is. A while ago my phone is dead, and left me no choice but to change to another one. This month, the credit card bill came, and I decided to use some steem to pay for the bill. I did not take them out for the sake of personal leisure, but the phone is rather a need, if not due to the previous phone malfunction, I wouldn't have purchase another one.

Here's my story of the new phone. I used to have a RedMi 4X since 2017. The sole purpose was, I registered a #steem account, and I made enough excuses to not start blogging until I have a better phone with a better camera. So I finally managed to bought that phone and started my blog life.

I have no complain with the previous phone, until few weeks ago I've accidentally dropped the phone very hard and the SIM reader damaged. I wanted to get it repair, but there is no spare part due to the recent pandemic in Mainland China. And I decided to get myself another RedMi Note 8 Pro for it's very powerful 64MP camera. And this is why. The phone even capable of 0.6X wide angle shot. It can literally capture a panoramic view without doing a panoramic shot.

I guess I will just need to adapt to the new phone. There's nothing much I can do to make it feels like the old phone. It's way too bright for the most of the time, but it's good when capturing low light shots.

This for example, I have learn to hold the phone higher, slant it a little to avoid the lens being directly pointing to the sunlight so it won't go too dark. I'm still working on how to reduce it's exposure, I know I can do it manual. I did it, but the surrounding all become black and see absoltuely nothing other than the sun. So, I'm trying to find a way to make it auto, yet collecting as much info as possible from one photo.

Here's what I mean. If I try to reduce exposure, this is generally what happened. The sun become less bright, clouds pattern become very attractive, but the surrounding all become black.

I did not hit the hill today, overslept! Usually when I'm here, the sky should still be dark, so I can capture sunrise. But if I try to go up the hill at this time, I'm afraid I will miss the golden shot. By the look of this, generally the lens is rather blue, than yellow. If I have the old phone here, this similar shot will be yellowish instead of blueish.

This stair, used to looks like a misery place, but now with the new camera lens, everything become bright. Matter of fact, it's too bright on the right side.

On auto mode with AI correction. When it's dark, it's bright. When it's bright, it's too bright. LOL

See the man in the mirror? I seem regain a little more confident seeing "him" in there not too wide. LOL.
