Today, we have a short review of website for children called Activity Village offering activity resources for parents.

I will just deal with the free sections of the website as some of it is members-only content.

The free stuff includes a craft section and games.

From the list of 40 or more craft sections, I chose 'Roald Dahl Day Crafts', which gave me a crafts page for a number of simple craft activities, examples of which included fuse bead patterns, simple puppets and  masks amongst other things.

Next, I looked at the games section, which list a number of games you can play with your children, again many of these involve simple activities to set them up. An example is a blow ski course where you have to make little poles as guides for a “ski” course and then blow a ball through it.

I was disappointed to find that some activities in this section were for members only even that the section was designated as free on the home page.

Conclusion:
It’s a nice website, but the free activities  it offers are too simple - you could very easily think up the activities yourself.
If you are in a fix, though, you could try it.

I suppose that, if you don’t mind the idea of paying membership fees to get the many printable resources that are on offer, it could offer you something extra.
