Link of the day - The Kid's Page

Today's link is once again to a website for children. I chose this one because everything on it seems to be free!

This is quite different to many of the other site, which require a membership with the associated fees.

As you can see from the picture, there are six main sections:

- printable and online coloring pages
- online games
- online jigsaw puzzles
- online and printable learning games
- clipart
- toys, movies, stories

Just to go through a few...

I tried the printable and online coloring section and was happy to see that some of the pictures were simple enough for very young learners. As I sometimes take care of a three-year-old, this is particularly useful.

The games section was fantastic! The games were very simple to play. I played chicken crossing the road and a math based race. For these, your children will need to be a little bit older.

The last one I tried was the jigsaw puzzles. My aim was just to see how easy the puzzles were to do, but in the end I ended up completing several of them. They are simple but addictive.
Older children could do this by themselves, or maybe younger children could help their parents solve them.

The only problem I have with this website is that it is very compact. I had my browser zoom at 150% and it still didn't fill the width of the screen.
