The new CloudCoins using RAIDA technology

I say "new" because there was once another CloudCoin which you can still find on Cryptopia exchange.

The new CloudCoin is something a bit different from normal cryptocurrencies. It works on the principle of embedding information of the CloudCoin value in a picture, text, video, etc., which can then be sent, for example, as an email attachment. The recipient becomes the owner of the cloudcoin after a quick re-registering of the value received – this just changes a private key. There is no record kept of who owns the coins.

Possible Advantages
 - no transfer fees
 - users do not need a special wallet
 - transfer is very fast
 - potentially 100% anonymous
 - the possibility of regaining lost coins (with a 2-year wait)
 - the project is (apparently) already fully funded for the next few years


Possible Disadvantages
 - uses only whole denominations – similar to banknotes
 - low amount of advertising could affect take-up and eventual success
 - an unconvincing method of paying nodes in the RAIDA to keep the network up and running

I think the most important overall aspect of this coin, as I would say is defined in the advantages I mentioned, is that it is designed for spending just like, and instead of, real money.

It is so new and outside the block chain environment that it is hard to find.

This isn't a slick bunch of guys with a get rich quick attitude this is a technology that is so secure that it can operate outside of the banking system, not be counterfeited, double spent or traced, it is a new technology (not block chain). Their sole intent is to bring out a stable currency that can not be manipulated by banks, governments, hackers and other elite criminals.

In my opinion it has a lot of work ahead of it and needs to be tested (by all the elite criminals) and only then will an average Joe like me know that it actually can not be hacked (double spent or manipulated by elite criminals). Anyone purchasing this coin should be ready for the long haul.

It looks like by summer you will start to see more availability for purchasing items with it in the US. But that may be optimistic.
