I unfortunately do not have to money to invest in steem :/ Being a student and all :) So every power up will be made with money made on the steemit platform

I joined last June and reached my initial year end goal of 5000SP with a day to spare. My second year end target of 1000 followers arrived around 7pm on 31 Dec. Then there was a dramatic race to the finish for my final 2017 target of 60 reputation, just clicking over to 60 at 11.59pm on New Years Eve.

And it made a good post too.

I have set my 2018 targets quite ambitiously including 25000 SP at year end.  I had been adding to earned SP by buying in some steem. That is going to be more challenging now even with dollar cost averaging (I think that is what it is called?)

The first Q1 target to hit is 8000SP.

I wrote the post with these targets a couple of days before the steem price starting taking off...

I was ing won some money I had coming in today, in order to invest in some Steem, but this huge increase in price leaves with with a decision, gamble on the price coming back down, or jump in now, and hope the price holds, or even keeps increasing.

I couldn't have gotten it at ~ $3. Grrrr!

I think it is better to sell your SBDs to steem, instead of converting it. You lose some but little amount by converting.
